At Redwood Theatre Company (RTC), we are dedicated to upholding the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as foundational to our mission. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that embraces the richness and complexity of all identities, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Our commitment to becoming an antiracist organization drives us to foster holistic representation and to support artists, directors, and instructors from diverse backgrounds at every level of our organization. AIWP Mission Statement
The Association for the Integration of the Whole Person (AIWP) was founded so that persons, prepared to serve their communities, can do so in ways that ensure self-empowerment, psychologically and educationally, leading to peace for persons of good will.
AIWP RTC Non-Profit Partnership
The Association for the Integration of the Whole Person (AIWP) is a 501(c)3, founded by Melvin Suhd in1975. AIWP is incorporated in the state of California as a nonprofit, non-sectarian spiritual organization, and has federal IRS 501c (3) status. AIWP is an organization which supports those seeking physical, mental, and spiritual services. There are no restrictions of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, or disability. The AIWP organization is a community of members with different beliefs and lifestyles who's common goal is to help individuals through music, dance, art, drama, structural integration, group interaction, mentoring etc.
Redwood Theatre Company of AIWP was established in 2018. Carmen Maria Mitchell is the president of Redwood Theatre Company of AIWP. She became a member upon demonstrating her experience, education, and training as well as her desire to serve her community, both in the present and in the future.
While all affiliates have their own unique service and vision, AIWP is one organization with one EIN number: 95-3455451. All financial records are managed by each individual nonprofit branch within the AIWP umbrella, giving 1% quarterly payment of each branch's total income.
Redwood Theatre Company has established their own Board of Directors, which consists of artists, directors, outreach specialists, representatives of marginalized communities, volunteers and sponsors. The mission of Redwood Theatre Company is to bring art to the community with professional productions, youth performance camps, outreach opportunities & full-inclusion programs.
